Assessment

Dear Parents and Carers,

Children have ongoing teacher assessments and also take end of term assessments in maths and English to track their progress. These are used for gap analysis and tracking.

Children will be formally tested at the end of each key stage (Class 2 and Class 6) with the new assessments reflecting the more challenging content and concepts of the 2014 curriculum. As in previous years, we will endeavour to ensure that children are adequately prepared so that they can feel more confident and at ease when completing the various tests.

Year 1 pupils take a phonics test at the end of the year.

Year 4 have times tables tests at the end of their year.
